Hello! My name is Rick Payne and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I received my Bachelor’s degree from Miami (OH) University in psychology and graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. I have previously worked in community mental health settings and have assisted adults with various problems such as addiction/substance abuse, adjustment disorders, bipolar, anger, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, men’s issues, mood disorders, and stress management.
I believe in a client-centered approach to treatment and want to work with you in reaching whatever goals you set for yourself. Deciding to start or return to therapy is a big commitment and can be an overwhelming step towards positive change. I hope that our work together can lead you to positive growth and towards the change you deserve.
In my free time I enjoy running marathons and cycling around the city, playing with my dog and cat, and traveling to new places with family and friends. I look forward to talking with you soon!

Hi, I’m Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor
I work with individuals who feel deeply and have learned to hold it all together, often while living with a busy inner world full of thoughts, emotions, and tension that can feel hard to slow down. Beneath the surface, there is often intensity, sensitivity, and a rich inner landscape that hasn’t had much room to breathe. Many are women, young adults, creatives, or high achievers who were taught—directly or indirectly—to hold back parts of themselves. This work is for those ready for clarity, confidence, self-trust, and a more authentic way of being.
My style is direct, collaborative, warm, and grounded. I hold a steady mirror, ask honest questions, and help you understand the patterns shaping your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Therapy with me is focused, embodied, and intentional—we slow things down, name what’s real, and create space for change that actually lasts. Change isn’t just talked about—it’s felt, integrated, and lived.
My work blends evidence-based therapy with a holistic, somatic, and creative approach. We pay attention to thoughts and emotions, as well as what’s happening in your body—tension, breath, and nervous system responses. Together, we explore the deeper layers shaping how you move through the world, while staying grounded in practical tools and real-life change. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or over-explain. You get to show up fully and unapologetically.
I work especially well with:
• Women & young adults navigating identity, self-worth, and embodiment
• Creatives, healers, and high achievers
• Anxiety, stress, burnout, and overwhelm
• Body image concerns, disordered eating patterns, and disconnection from the body
• Obsessive and perfectionist tendencies
• Life transitions and relationship patterns
My background as a lifelong artist strongly informs my work as a therapist. I’m a movement artist, dancer, performer, yoga instructor, and jewelry artist, and living in creative practice has shaped how I understand embodiment, confidence, and self-trust—and how I hold space in therapy.
If you’re looking for empowering, meaningful work, I’d love to connect.

Hello, I’m Aaron Knapp (he/him), and I’m excited to join Ebb & Flow Counseling as a Licensed Professional counselor. I hold a BS in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and I have my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University.
I believe that empathy, understanding, and collaboration form the foundation for an effective therapeutic relationship. I help support and encourage my clients in setting their own goals that are achievable, realistic, and will have the most impact on their lives to help them feel better or get closer to their values. Our work together may integrate elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Ultimately, the therapeutic approach used is what best fits each individual client’s needs, strengths, and goals.
I have experience working with depression and anxiety and a particular interest in working with adults managing relationship issues, adolescents, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and issues of identity. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, warm, accepting environment where clients will feel comfortable enough to talk about whatever is on their mind. Therapy is not just a place to address challenges big or small but also a place to come when the car of life just needs a tune-up.
In my free time, I enjoy going to the theater, singing loud enough to give the neighbors a free concert, walking around the Cleveland Museum of Art, trying new restaurants, and going to drag shows and movies.
Thank you for taking this step towards supporting yourself. I look forward to working with you!
Aaron is provisionally licensed and supervised by Meghan Ritter, LPCC-S.
